After retiring, I discovered a new sense of purpose by advocating for others. I travel extensively and have dedicated myself to supporting four Syrian refugee families living in Türkiye (in 2025-26, they are returning home to Syria). As a political activist, I enjoy volunteering time and organizing neighbors to advocate for community issues. My commitment to quiet causes strengthens me as a musician, and has given me a renewed sense of direction, fulfillment and humility.
